  • Smoky flavors well integrated with fruit (red and black berries) and a background of vanilla owing to good barrel aging. The palate presents a good structure that is soft and round. Clearly fruity, persistent, with a long toasted finish.
  • Brief decantering is recommended before serving to smooth out the tannins and open up the aromas. This wine pairs well with all kinds of baked fish, lasagna and mushroom risotto.
  • The Valdepeñas winery dates back to 1875, and its original location is today one of the most prestigious museums in Spain. Currently, it has a packaging capacity of 100 million liters and produces 60 million kilos. It is equipped with the most advanced winemaking techniques to develop, cultivate and bottle high quality wines. The wineries have one of the largest underground cellars in the country with a capacity of 30,000 barrels, where wines reach their full splendor in oak barrels twelve meters underground, ensuring the best conditions in this delicate process. Valdepeñas is characterized by its slightly clay soil with a high limestone concentration and good drainage. These terrain features, along with a dry and sunny climate, contribute decisively to the good development and ripeness of the grapes.
  • This Pata Negra Crianza is obtained from selected grapes. It is fermented at a controlled temperature around 25 - 30ºC and maceration with the skins for around twenty days to obtain the structure and color of a wine designed to be stored in barrel. After malolactic fermentation the wine is placed in French oak barrels where it remains for six months. After this time the wine is bottled and stored for aging in bottle.
