    When Pablo Morandé founded Viña Morandé in 1996 he had already been searching through the vineyards of the hills of Ranquil. After tasting grapes from more than 8 hectares of fields, he knew the 120-year-old vineyard he found was the perfect fit for his wines. Morandé comes from a family with five generations of winemaking tradition and is a pioneering winemaker who helped put Chile on the map for wine. He was also behind Chile’s first iconic wine, Don Melchor. Morandé has built a reputation for exploring uncharted terroirs while honouring and preserving Chile’s rich winemaking heritage.
