Characterized by a dark purple, almost blackish colour, this wine has aromas of ripe black fruits, black pepper spice and floral notes. On the palate you will find that it is full yet soft and supple, with black raspberry and currant flavours interwoven with a touch of chocolate and sweet spice from light oak aging. The finish shows ripe, silky tannins.
Great with chicken, lamb, grilled vegetables and pastas.
Production
After picking and pressing of the grapes from the Uco Valley vineyards the juice undergoes a 2 day cold maceration, 9-15 day fermentation, 2-4 day post fermentation maceration. Average fermentation temperature: 28C. The Wine is then aged in American and French oak for 6-9 months
