Production
Silver Oak utilise innovative vineyard techniques like berry sensory analysis and precision farming in their vineyards to ensure the highest quality fruits go into making their wines. Their 2012 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is composed of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Petit Verdot. With a focus on extensively aging their wines to ensure they are ready and drinkable upon release, the 2012 vintage was blended in early 2013 and aged for 24 months in 85% new and 15% once-filled barrels from the Silver Oak cooperage - The Oak, in Higbee, Missouri. After bottling in the spring of 2015, the bottles received an additional 21 months of aging before being released for our drinking pleasure.
