The smell is characterized by cherries and a little hot spices. A delicious taste with good warm texture and soft fruit, cherry, black currant and plums. In the aftermath, you feel the deliciously fresh touch with good cleansing acid that is so typical of Italian wine.
It matches well with roasted meats, red grilled meats and hard cheeses.
Production
Follows the traditional method of red wine vinification. The fermentation takes a minimum of 10-12 days under controlled temperature not exceeding 25-27°C. It is aged for at least 12 months in wooden casks and for another 12 months in steel tanks, afterwards the wine is stored for another six months on wooden vats to obtain its Riserva designation.
