Nabal Albillo Mayor is a distinctive white wine from Ribera del Duero that showcases the region’s historic Albillo Mayor grape. Sourced from old vine micro plots in the villages of Peñaranda de Duero and Gumiel de Izán, this wine reflects high altitude viticulture and careful, low impact winemaking. The vineyards sit between 860 and 900 metres above sea level on sandy loam soils with predominantly northern exposure, allowing for slow, even ripening and excellent natural acidity. Aromatically the wine is complex and elegant, offering notes of white stone fruit, apple, pear, and subtle herbal tones such as fennel, anise, and chamomile. On the palate it is fresh yet textured, balancing a broad mouthfeel with vibrant acidity and a long, persistent finish. This is a serious and age worthy Spanish white with both finesse and structure.
