The Jackson family got its start in winemaking back in 1974 when Jess Jackson purchased a pear orchard just North of Napa and replaced it with Chardonnay grapes, eight years later Kendall-Jackson Wine was born and the family set out to make premium yet affordable California wine. Kendall-Jackson began gaining notoriety after its debut at the Oyster Bar in Grand Central Station and eventually becoming the wine of choice at the White House during Regan's presidency. Decades and multiple prestigious awards later, including 10-time Winery of the Year Awards from Wine & Spirits Magazine, Kendall-Jackson remains a proud family-run business with a dedication to environmentally sustainable practices.
