While studying law in Northern California, Hartford Family Winery founder, Don Hartford met his future wife Jennifer Jackson, who happened to be the daughter of visionary winemaker, Jess Jackson of Kendall-Jackson Vineyards. Following a successful career in law, Hartford and his wife returned to their love of land and farming and founded Hartford Family Winery in 1994. Today, their daughter Hailey is at the helm after having grown up surrounded by winemaking and studying in McLaren Vale, Australia and Bordeaux, France.
