Blueberries, dark chocolate and black cherry are the predominant aromatics with a touch of floral and spice. Smooth, fruity and very easygoing with ripe blackberry, plum, blueberry and cherry. Has supple tannins balanced with a strong backbone of acidity and fruit.
At Foppiano they believe in treating Petite Sirah grapes just like Pinot Noir, using refined methods and tender care. Once in the cellar, the grapes are fermented in open top fermenters with punch downs three times a day for good color extraction.
