The nose opens with rich caramel, charred oak, subtle cherrywood and vanilla notes. The palate is notably lush and thick. An assertive charred barrel flavour intertwines with caramel and sponge toffee, which later gives way to blackberry and plum notes. The dark fruit sweetness briefly shines. The finish gives a chili spice kick, complemented by cinnamon, oak, nutmeg and leather. Beautifully complex, and exceedingly hard to find. A must buy for any bourbon fanatic.
