Plums, cassis, sweet preserves, bell pepper and spice on the nose with a hint of licorice. The wine itself is dry, medium to full bodied with nicely balanced acidity. Lush, ripe cassis, wood spice, bell pepper and spice on the palate before a warm, supple finish.
It should come as no surprise that his Australian Shiraz pairs well with barbecued meats but you may also wish to pair with a broader range of meals such as pasta or a beef stir fry.
Production
Fermented at moderate temperatures with pump overs programmed for a desired soft tannin effect. Pressing and malolactic fermentation are followed by clarification and maturation on small amounts of premium oak. Enjoy now or cellar for up to four years.
