The Blue Mountain Vineyard Gamay Noir displays good acidity and juicy cassis flavours, with notes of blackberry and a long, spicy finish. he balanced structure will allow the wine to age for 4-6 years from vintage year.
Hand harvested prior to de-stemming into open topped fermenters for a 20 day maceration period, with combination of pump overs and a selesct number of punch downs. Naturally cold soaked, fermented with natural yeast. Drained and pressed off skins 4-5 days post fermentation and aged for 16 months in 5 year old French Oak barrels plus two 500 litre puncheons on fine lees.
