A classic representation of the region's variety, the Valforte Montepulciano's fruity aromas of red berries and morello cherries fill the glass of this fruit-forward red. The palate lingers with flavours of dark plum, licorice and cherries.
This is an excellent wine to pair with roasted meats, lasagna, and wood-fired pizza.
Production
Produced from 100% Montepulciano D'Abruzzo, the wine is vinified in stainless steel before spending 10 months in French oak before bottling.
Winery
The Sorricchio family has owned the Baronial Fief of Valforte since the 14th Century. The ���Tenute Barone di Valforte�۝ vineyards grow over an area of 500 ha in various communes of Termano, Abruzzo. The produce all local varieties of the region, including Montepulciano, Pecorino, Passerina and Trebbiano.
