La Neblina Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir is a wine both spry and enticing in its youth yet with graceful aging potential. Ripe red cherry and raspberry bound out of the glass, balanced by bright strawberry and cranberry notes. A spice m̩lange envelops the nose, first with vanilla and allspice tones, and finishing with a hint of sarsaparilla. Violets weave their fragrance in and out of the fruit as the wine shifts toward more earthy hues. The La Neblina finally returns to earth with the slightest hint of button mushroom and forest floor, while round, yet grippy, tannins linger on the palate.
Spanish for fog, la neblina rolls in from the Pacific Ocean to blanket and cool the coastal Pinot Noir vineyards of western Sonoma County. This is our flagship Pinot Noir, always a cellar favorite, and is comprised of a complex array of five West County coastal sites on Goldridge soil.
